DOJO
Welcome to ACI Dojo
ACI Dojo offers practical application of the skills that support
the Art of Collective Integration.
The Dojo is a new, weekly training space where we practice sensing ourselves as we relate with others around polarizing topics.
Why We Train
Neuroscience shows that to shift the way we feel in charged conversations requires that we become aware of our inner experience and befriend what is going on inside ourselves.

The ACI Dojo complements other ACI practices by bringing them into a relational training context. While you can cultivate degrees of self-awareness and regulation on your own, the Dojo extends that awareness into live interaction. Here, you learn to stay grounded, listen deeply, and sense the dynamics between self and other in real time.
The Dojo offers a pathway to develop both your personal and relational capacities in a supportive community of practice:

-
healing
-
personal growth
-
becoming more skillful in conversations at home or work
-
professional development
-
learning to host or facilitate polarized spaces
This isn’t just self-work. It’s training for
a world in transition.
Each session is grounded in the principles of the Art of Collective Integration, guided by David Young's martial arts background and years of trauma-informed facilitation. Whether you’re new to this work or a seasoned practitioner, the ACI Dojo offers a structured and evolving pathway to deepen your sensing, regulation, and relational skills.
How We Train
-
We begin with warm-ups to help us arrive fully with our bodies, feelings, and minds.
-
Drills to build our ability and capacity to sense ourselves and others with precision
-
Partner exercises to apply learned skills in real-time
-
Closing the session by sharing insights and reflections
-
Q&A to unpack the wisdom in the practices
Through regular practice, your skill development will be recognized as you are awarded ‘belts’ to affirm your progress through foundational, intermediate, and advanced levels of development.
