ABOUT

What Is the Art of
Collective Integration?

The Art of Collective Integration started as a trauma-informed practice and framework developed by David Young (楊正賢) used for transforming fragmentation in human systems into coherence, resilience, and wholeness.

Today, ACI is a training, development and consulting company focused on helping individuals, leaders, organizations, civic groups and other communities integrate the unspoken and hidden forces that obscure our capacity to relate with someone who we believe to be different, wrong, or even dangerous.

Polarization is not a failure of relationship, but a signal that the system is ready to grow beyond its current capacity.

Our Approach

Polarization arises when unresolved tensions and historical wounds surface in an individual, group, collective, or society. These tensions show up as the topical live wires that put distance between ourselves and “others.”

By practicing embodied presence and holding these hidden dynamics with care, we open pathways for healing, understanding, and authentic connection. Instead of forcing empathy or agreement, this approach emphasizes expanding self-awareness. This allows shared spaces to emerge where diverse experiences, perspectives, and distance can coexist.

Drawing from neuroscience, somatic practices, team development, and collective healing methodologies,  ACI helps us recognize hidden dynamics, release patterns of disconnection, and cultivate the capacities needed to meet today’s complex challenges. At its core, this art is about restoring relational health and empowering groups to create sustainable solutions together.

Why Should You Participate?

  • Are you avoiding or losing relationships that are challenged by differences of opinion?

  • Do certain topics trigger you and hurt your relationships?

  • Do you feel like others are wrong and, therefore, responsible for the level of stress we feel in society?

  • Do you occasionally feel a sense of dread or hopelessness about society?

  • Does it feel like there is no way out of polarization?

The truth is, part of you already knows how to do this. Part of us already knows that we can care for someone with whom we disagree. We know that diverse ideas help society make progress toward greater safety, stability, prosperity and opportunity. ACI’s methodology addresses the roots of polarization.

Join us in one of our courses, take the online self-paced mini-course, or join the practice Dojo. Through these programs, you’ll learn to work with the hidden dynamics that limit your sense of safety, opening the way to greater ease and joy in your relationships.
